Internet

      Nowadays The Internet has managed to be of the important part of our life. We can’t do without it. We may find whatever we want. With a help of the Internet we can find everything easily.

      As for me, I use the Internet almost every day, but not for a long time. I often use it for my study, especially for my projects and presentations, etc.

      People need to be aware of the latest news. I’m no excaption. I usually get the news on the Internet: any kind of news, for instance, aout show bizness, or news about what is going on aruond the world. One more thing, I sometimes use the Internet to download the files I need: new songs or videos and so on.

      I usually visit to Google. Everybody knows it is the site of worldwide. So I have already become an Internet user that cannot live without Internet.

Summary

     I think, I’m very lucky because of studying in IELTE. Time runs ans runs that we cannot catch it. We even don’t notice that we’re going to finish our 1^st year of study. I’m happy that we had computer skills. We managed to learn a lot of important and interesting topics on it. We have learned how to create our blogs, how to join Wiki, how to do Power Point presentations and other computer programs that helps us work easily with a computer. So we had other subjects such as Study Skills, Vocabulary, Grammar, Integrated Skills ans Writing that helped us develop our academic skills. The main thing is that we realized the aim of our lives and learned how to achieve it.

     I’m very thankful Mrs.Gulsara for her classes. Because of her good teaching I learned how to write essays. You may not believe but I’ve never written an essay before. As for Vocabulary, I’ve known lots of new words that I need in my speech. So I found studying in IELTE is very interesting with its activities, role plays and various topics.

     As a conclusion, I can say that it is my luck that I’m studying in IELTE.

Culture shock

    Many people dream of living in a foreign country. It can be an amazing experience for those who has the courage to leave their family and settle down in a new place. However, there’s one potential problem you should be aware of: Culture shock. Culture shock is the feeling we get from living in a place that is so different to where we grew up that we are not sure how to deal with it. Societies are organized in many different ways, and we can often be taken aback by some of the things we find in foreign countries. Customs and traditions can be very different and that can sometimes take it difficult to get on with local people and to be friends. They might not approve of things you do or might object to things you say.      Eventually, though, most people who live abroad fall in love with their adopted country and learn to accept its difference. It takes real courage to make such a big change to your life, but many people agree with it if it is worth in the end.

About Criticism

    It can take a long time to become successful in your chosen field, however talanted you are. One thing you have to be aware of is that you will face criticism along the way. The world is full of people who would rather say something negative than positive. If you’ve made up your mind to achieve a certain goal, such as writing a novel, don’t let the negative criticism of others prevent you from reaching tour target, and let constructive criticism have a positive effect on your work.

    If someone says you’re totally lacking in talent, just ignore them. That’s negative criticism. If, however, someone advises you to revise your work and gives you good reasons for doing so, you should think their suggestions carefully. Being successfuldepends on luck. But things are more likely to turn out well if you persevere and stay positive.

My impressions about 1st semester

The 1st study year is time student`s life begins. A student knows about study system of the University , and all rules of the IELTE during the 1st semester. So we with other students began to know each other better. We learnt how to pass quizes and midterms. Of course, at first It seemed strange and difficult for us, but we used to.
At the end of 1st semester we were afraid of final tests, that`s why prepared seriously. So we passed all of them successfully. I liked computer tests and also not having other classes during the days we pass final exams.
To tell the truth, during the semester we improved our knowledge. We learnt how to make effective presentations, and we succeeded to do it.
As a group we became close with each other. We are more friendlier than other groups. Always we approved each other on everything. Even we celebrated New Year`s Day together.
I made lots of friends during the semester, and hope our friendship won`t have ending. I can say this 1st semester was the 1st step to my big life.

A diary of a computer mouse

A mouse is one of the important equipment of a comuter. It helps go process of working easily and fast. Especially It can be easy with the mouse when you work with the programs, such as WORD, Paint, Excel. Nowadays, modern comuters have laser mouses. 
 One of the comuter skills classes we talked about mouse and toch screen. We discussed about their adventages ans dis adventages. It goes without saying that mouse doesn`t work so fast as touch screen. But touch screen cannot work for a long time, and a screen can be scretched easily.

The language of study

    Studying in the IELTE is not very easy. IELTE accepts the students who passed the exam. IELTE has its own campus. The teachers are very strick that demand students to obey the rules and to study hard.
    Students listen to a lecturer take notes during the lecture and according to their learning a subject they are given a mark or a grade in the seminar.
   At some classes students often write essays and teachers require them to type up essays and to hand in them till the deadline. But freshman-year students don`t write a dissertation or a thesis.
   Students get a scholarship as a funding. After graduating University course, students get a degree in their subject.

Preparing for and Taking IELTE tests

    Preparing for and taking tests require students big attention . It  will be easy to recall information if we use diagrams , such as Venn diagram , the tree diagram and the hierarchical diagram .

   I think , we should avoid cramming  and we should follow the Golden 24 – Hour Rule. It is said , “do not attempt to learn any new subject on which you will be tested during the  24 hours prior to the test ” .

    According to that rule , in the 24 hours prior to the test , we should try to review  all the material we’ve covered .

    During taking test we can use the triage method . According to this method we divide the questions into 3 groups : 1^st do probables , 2^nd do possible , 3^rd do long shots .

    On multiple – choice tests , in the 1^st place you must understand the question , then pay attention on the meaning and context of the information .

    In the end , leave time as much as possible in order to recheck your answers .

My learning style

   There are 3 types of learning style:

   The first is a auditory learning style. This type includes the learners who learn best by teacher`s lecture and class discussions.

   The second one is visual learning style . Visual learners learn the subject best when they work with diagrams and pictures . It’s easy them to learn best when information is presented in written language format. I belong to this style . In fact , I learn better by reading rather than listening to something.

    The third learning style is Tactile / Kinesthetic . Learners belong to this learn best when they have an actual object in their hands .

The features of my Concentration

    Concentration is considered to be the first important step in study. Without it we cannot achieve our goals.

    Some people listen quiet music and relax. After that they can easily concentrate on their work. But there are distractions, that cause difficulties to concentrate. They are external and internal distractions. In order to concentrate easily you should plan everything: how to study, the length of study period . 

    First, you should create  a study environment as the first step for concentrating. Put everything away the table that can distract you.

    Second, you should know when to study. Find time when you can study and remember better.

    As for me, I follow these rules. For my concentration, it`s better if there is not anyone near me. And it is not awful if there is somebody, but they shouldn`t talk to me.

My goals and objectives

Everybody have their own goals and objectives . They attempt to achieve them. 6 month ago I visit my sister and there I saw she had bought a new microwave oven. Since that I began to save money from my salary. This weekend I`m planning to go to the shop and to buy a microwave oven. I gathered 100 dollars and I`m sure I find a good one for this money. Because my sister said she had bought it for 80 dollars. She advised me to go to the “ Technical Hands” shop. Because this shop has a discount.
Finally, I will achieve my goal.

Time management

   Time management is to divide up your time truely  in order to manage everything. Every work need a plan. That`s why at the beginning you should make a daily or a weekly calendar. It helps you divide up your work over the weeks, so you don`t have to do too much in any one week. 

   The steps of the academic process for managing your time: 

  - selecting a topic 

  - gathering information 

  - organizing the information 

  - editing or correcting 

  - preparing the final report  ect. 

   Do everything in time, so you don`t have to push all the work to the last moment.
